Gunwild: I do like that this page turn gag worked. But I like Maddy's half-cape even more!

Psu: Speaking of worked, I'm not totally sure a metal claw will actually snap like that. Maybe she has a speaker built in to make that sound instead of an uncomfortable metal scratching noise...

Gunwild: Maybe it would go "Shhhing!" Or it's actually the sound of her tapping her middle finger on her palm and the gesture is just to mimic snapping?

Psu: I think the story utility of a "snap" is more appropriate than a "shhing" sound. A "shhing" you use for something like a sword or a royalty free version of Wolverine. That has a very different connotation for story telling! A "snap" can mean anything. A "shhing" means you're probably gonna get attacked with a sword. Theira and Farring are both aware of these story tropes.

Gunwild: Feel like Theira's more unhappy with having to make too much of any occasion with strangers Also, what would you do with prehensile head-tentacles if you had them? I'm thinking mostly hold drinks, but like, while I type.

Psu: Important question, are they movie doctor octopus tentacles with their own mind? Or Omega Red tentacles and they're under my direction?

Gunwild: Uhh I mean the ones in panel 1 make 'em seem like they're just controlled like limbs... maybe it feels like wiggling your ears, if you can do that?

Psu: Ah that means it takes extra focus! I guess I could use them to like... you know when you're in your car and  you need to reach for something in the other seat. Even though you're parked, it's still awkward to turn all the way around and grab it because you don't want to bother with unbuckling your seatbelt... Actually I don't think we're going anywhere with this. Lets get back to the page. Everyone looks great in this chapter. I think we set the bar with Katya Kreuz looking sexy, so everyone had to dress up nice. Theira even combed her hair.

Gunwild: I know somebody who enjoys dressing up old-fashioned on some occasions, and man, you haven't felt sloppy until you show up in your normal sweatshirt to a moderately priced restaurant and you're next to a guy in a top hat with a cane. But, hey, we all like seeing the characters in things we enjoy play dress-up, expect it to continue!

Psu: It's definitely some of the most fun of this series is coming up with new outfits. I think... it's entirely possible we've seen our characters more often in alternate outfits than their main outfits throughout the story. But I guess that comes with the territory. We usually have something like... "they're on a heist" or "they're in a casino." Any everyone's gotta dress appropriately. And this means Maddy gets a cool cape. Because I knew she was gonna do some flashy sword stuff again. And sword stuff always looks better with a cape.

Gunwild: Also, easy way to make a sci-fi party instead of just filling it with aliens, make sure everybody's drink is an unusual color! Like Star Wars and its blue milk.

Psu: And give at least one person, head tentacles.

Gunwild: Oh they'd probably be a dream for scratching your back or wiping your brow.

Psu: You'd think a couple of writers making up a science fiction story with metal or alien tentacles could come up with something more exciting for them, but all I can imagine is having something to help hold up a picture frame while I add some wall hooks. Oh, one note on the art that's pretty silly, but I wanted to make Kreuz's dress semi translucent. I pulled back on that effect for the comic. But ya know... maybe a more transparent dress would be fun for a sexy sketch or two.
