Gunwild: Well what else is a childish star-pirate gonna put in an industrial food stasis unit, Penny?

Psu: I think we haven't done a lot with this yet, but I'm pretty sure Cassiopeia's hideout is the size of the Empire State Building or something. It's got hundreds upon hundreds of rooms and many of them are probably a mystery to Cassiopeia and Zeke as well. So it's probably a little easy to forget about your industrial freezer.

Gunwild: I want to compliment the ice cream packaging design again for kinda looking like a butt. But more important is how the power meter device's readings skip up to a high number when Cassioeia exhibits enthusiastic energy. That was not in the script and yet it's the best thingy on the page.

Psu: Pffft, I forgot about that detail. Every now and then I like breaking the character model just to pump up the expressiveness in a single panel. I swear it's not just because I forgot how to draw a character's face. I just knew that Cassiopeia "BEAMING" was important to this moment. I forget who's idea was the field trip story though? I remember we both liked it, just as a nice little homey aside after all the big adventuring.

Gunwild: Don't remember, I always assume that means you had a good idea and I liked it so much that my brain was happy to share credit right away. (edited)

Psu: Oh I think it was your idea. You were the one that wanted to give the robots some real purpose I think. My original concept for Quinn's Ice Cream Ventures was actually a little more cynical and dark. Remember the one I was pitching where it was just one person working in an office somewhere, managing shipments of ice cream and stuff. Until someone trying to find Cassiopeia busts down the office door?

Gunwild: Oh right, yeah. As we I think said when we talked about the last page with the Wild West robots, if we'd just left them without showing that they'd be able to develop in some way, I might have felt like it couldn't be read optimistically enough.

Psu: And now you found a way to involve the new roommates and the kiddos. There's a real pleasant and happy status quo at this point in the comic, that probably could've gone on for a long time. Maybe we'll get back there at some point.

Gunwild: Introducing an unwitting character to a bunch of danger because of their seemingly benign job is a wonderful idea for a story, but not a short and sweet one. Which is the kind that suits ice cream!

Psu: My favorite flavor is Orange Sherbet. Though that's technically not an ice cream...

Gunwild: I don't even watch the real show, but my favorite ice cream flavor is The Tonight Dough starring Jimmy Fallon. Nothing else like it.

I live for the happy status quo moments in any universe. If an arc goes too long with suspense and anxiety it casts a pallor over everything. You can't lose those periods of joy.

Ok, let's think about this... She's a famous interstellar space pirate, who probably makes more money from her legitimate business, (ice cream making) than she makes from piracy... So, why WOULDN'T she have an industrial food stasis full of ice cream?!? Silly question, that...
