It is enough to say you're both right because it is complicated and confusing for her right now.

To me Feti carries a quality of frustrated motion. Her personal scales are out of balance and there's nothing she can do to fix the problem.
The exact "why" is open to speculation. I tend to think that the duel left Feti uneasy, probably with her jump-the-gun stab, combined with Maddy refusing to escalate to a lethal duel.
And Feti probably sees through Maddy's resignation and understands Maddy was forced out. And that's just making the uneasy feeling worse. I'd guess Feti's personal honor code was already saying she owes Maddy something. Now, in the name of a Regency Navy that has wronged Maddy, Feti *really* owes Maddy something. Feti wants to be out getting those unbalanced scales back in balance but there's nothing to do.
I can see one of Feti's friends saying, "You're just letting that little shrimp Vrax get to you. When was the last time you took some serious R&R anyway? I know this beach planet..."

This page was a little confusing to me. Feti seems to be upset about Madison's situation. But I'm not sure. Especially given Feti's sword match with Maddy and all.

*Respectfully admiring Feti's biceps*
Also, I'm not sure how I didn't put this together sooner, but Cassiopeia and Zeke have an excellent Calvin and Hobbes dynamic. Great storytelling, all around.
