Gunwild: This is too serious, I just wanna know what kinda future candy is in that piñata.

Psu: I know we spent a lot more time discussing the emotional impact of this page, than we did what kinds of candy they put in there. At the very least, I imagine Zeke made sure there weren’t any alien candies. And probably made sure to separate any of the ones with nuts in em. But yeah, this page was pretty major, I think we hit a certain milestone with how many pages we had. And like... we thought a lot about what Cassiopeia has done in the past and what kinds of feelings she has now that her circle is full of people she cares about. That sorta thing can change your outlook.

Gunwild: I guess it's a turning point for her, and I tried to write it so it played like that. But on the other hand, in real life people fantasize about making big changes all the time and never follow through!

Psu: Well she’s still gonna eat the candy with the metroids in it. She didn’t build up that tolerance for nothing! On the art side of things, I was thinking about how when I started this page I figured panel 4 would be easy. At least in comparison to panel 1. But you can’t believe how hard it is to get Zeke’s head exactly right! And with just the right amount of tilt to look surprised!

Gunwild: I mean it musta worked, because you and I use a "Shocked Zeke" emoji in conversation now using that image. My favorite thing on the page is how you can see through Nimoo in the first panel despite a complicated lighting arrangement!

Psu: Heh, that’s a thing I make sure to do with Vanaa especially on strong backlit scenes. And the sunset here was just really lovely. It’s the kind of thing you’d like to drink a beer with, alongside some folks that you love and cherish and wanna grow old with.

Gunwild: Whatever nerd, I just want candy. Happy Halloween, patrons!
