Gunwild: So. I do not live by or practice any creeds. But there are a few I respect, and my favorite one begins: "I believe that to have a friend, a man must be one."
Psu: Gun, I'm happy to bee your friend.
Gunwild: Oh my god you huge dork. Although I'm not one to talk, because I'm out here talking about the Lone Ranger Creed.
Psu: This was a good way to clinch the story. We felt that it needed some sorta epilogue, after the last page. And it's good to commemorate your happy stories when you can, because no one can be sure what happens at the end of the next adventure. Whatever happens, at least this moment is truly happy.
Gunwild: Also we were well past Christmas when the ending here got posted, but the tree being here would probably make it appropriate for holiday time re-reading.
Psu: To tell the truth, if I had a Christmas tree up last year there'd be a good chance it would still be up. But I'm not as Christmassy as Gunwild is.
Gunwild: I love Christmas so much... it's the one holiday we always do comics for 'cause of that. Although we're doing Mother's Day for the first time this year, that's nice.
Psu: We've still got years to go on this comic. We can still get all the Holidays. Next time Beebot is planting trees for Arbor day. Everyone's barbecuing for Labor Day. Anyway, I just wanted to say I appreciated the chance to have this story for Cassiopeia. She got to grow up a bunch across the comic but it was neat to see her youth expanded on. I'm not always the type of creator that says everyone needs some sorta defining event or trauma in their youth before they become a main character. But it seemed like it fit Cassiopeia, to have been alone for a very long time.
Gunwild: You did a great job coming up with all the concepts here, and I'm glad I got to help. And also throw in my fanboyism for the Lone Ranger! HI HO, SILVER! AWAY!
Psu: And I'm glad I got to draw a flower in Peia's hair.
