Gunwild: I'm attending a birthday this weekend also... of course, we're all in quarantine, so it'll all be isolated family groups just calling in...
Psu: We just did that too! My brothers had their birthday. They’re twins. So it was a lot of families and a lot of noise. Try to imagine a few adults on the top of a group call where the kids are also having a conversation. It’s everyone’s social circle conversation happening at the same time in the same place!
Gunwild: I'm just worrying about making a baked good. Maybe cho-co-late cake!
Psu: Just be sure to unfurl it with dramatic flair... I forgot how good this Nimoo moment is. Did you write that? I mean the flopping of the cloth and it falling back down on Nimoo. I know you wrote in the gag with Moc smacking away that dirty starch stick.
Gunwild: Yeah, you came up with the sheet falling on Nimoo. That's a good'n.
Psu: This was a really cute story and I think it shows a lot of depth to these jellybeans. It’s also a bit of a unique story in Cassiopeia, where effectively it’s two of our “side casts” interacting without Cassiopeia or Madison directly involved. It’s a big lateral story. I forget, were we wondering about how long we should make this? Because this meant months without seeing any of the cute girls in our cute girl comic.
Gunwild: It was a coupla weeks! Besides, Talps is very cute. She has a "smush" on someone, that's adorable.
Psu: That is very true. Also I got to draw one of my favorite things to draw, food! Oh before we go, I think I need to comment on a minor visual complaint. I just realized that in panel 1, the plane contrails are messing up the perspective of the windows! They’re creating an unintentional tangent from the window frames behind the text boxes and it’s causing the visuals to warp unintentionally!
Gunwild: Tangents are a complicated idea but hopefully everybody who reads comics can grasp the importance of lines not getting in each others' way.
Psu: I imagine, there’ll be a time when one of our commentaries is just explaining various difficult comic book concepts to our readers. It’s PROBABLY gonna be during the Body Snatchifiers. I make a bunch of tricky page design decisions there...
Gunwild: I could use a stasis box for food since I'm only going shopping once a week...
Psu: It’s called a refrigerator.
Gunwild: The future is now!
