Agreed, i do think valid concerns are raised. Perhaps a minisode on how scientific papers work, submission, review, criticism, supporting papers etc. It might help contextualise these kinds of thing for people when discussed.

2023-03-27 05:53:51 +0000 UTCJesse having problems with theoretical papers by some who is open about his belief in aliens makes sense but so weird how immediate his refusal of it is. With the previous Quantum Entanglement talk and being so positive on those theories but not here where it is just a minor correction to math feels weird. The real cause for concern is that all academics is rooted in politics and everyone has some kind of bias.
