Page Commentary No. 149

Gunwild: Careful readers might have seen that on the last page, Mercy's hand made the same sound effect as the last time we saw her draw her shock knuckle duster. So they could have predicted what was coming. But it was tiny and in a funny color, so I doubt anyone did. Still, I like our consistency!

Psu: It works nicely if you’re reading the pages in the same sitting. However in a webcomic you have to account for readers who haven’t seen the previous page in a while. It was worth taking a moment to show the knuckleduster come out again to setup the next shot. And speaking of shots, this is a hell of a complicated series of images again isn’t it? We’re still dividing our sequence between things on the ground and things on the air and there’s a giant crab and a giant gun and a squid ship and a cat getting shocked. It’s kinda a miracle it worked as well as it did. Oh there are also upside down kids.

Gunwild: I've never asked if you like roller coasters. I love 'em! Harness-type ones are great 'cuz you know they're goin' upside-down or they wouldn't have 'em.

Psu: I actually have a fear of roller coasters. Not just like... the fear you’re supposed to have. I don’t like em. I barely even like cars that go fast.

Gunwild: It's okay, you can sit in the shade and eat snacks while we're at Six Flags and I'm on stuff.

Psu: Hey, if you think I’m waiting for you to sit in the two hour long line well... you can find me at the food court with a nice pleasant meal. Maybe they’ll have crab.

Gunwild: Fried crab, just like in the comic...

Psu: This is terrible day... nice shot by Zeke though. Seems like a pretty hard thing to do... who’s flying the ship?

Gunwild: I bet simple atmospheric maneuvers can be automated with a reasonable degree of reliability

Psu: Flying right side up is optional. Oh, may I toot my own horn here? I forgot I had the explosion in the last panel push away some of the dust clouds. That’s pretty cool! I bet that would lookg good in a movie.

Gunwild: And then we could afford to finally go to a theme park...
