Art Update No. 148

Psu: Theira combed her hair! I actually really like these outfits but I think Gunwild was very specific about getting to see Cupcake show off some skin. I think a decent compromise was getting to have her toss off her mantle in a fun moment.

Gunwild: Okay, that's not what happened, Psu is full of deceit. After this dress uniform design, I was like, "Oh, it'll be hard to show Cupcake cutting loose when it becomes clear that this is a more dancy party if she's got a Navy cover and stuff on, will she be able to throw that off?" Which is an idea we both liked. She's a very positive person, she likes to be able to throw herself into fun times, so it worked out well.

Psu: Eh maybe my memory isn’t what it used to be. Theira looks cute here though. I started liking the idea of high pants. I couldn’t really pull them off myself but for someone as slim as Theira, I think she wears it well. She’s already pretty tall so it just adds to that.

Gunwild: Tall PLUS antennae!

Psu: I think one of the things people were surprised by is the addition of glasses. But she’s always had glasses! They were more of a visor before, but they’re there on most of her appearances.

Gunwild: Yeah, but it does give her face a different look. I mean did you recognize LeVar Burton the first time you saw him without HIS visor?

Psu: No, that’s fair. But Theira does have big antenna’s and facial markings. One of the details I liked about her glasses is that they’re supposed to be like those gamer glasses for reducing eye strain. Those things kinda work! I don’t use them myself though, I need to be able to see colors properly and anything that changes the visuals on screen is just sabotaging the work.

Gunwild: They will be useful if you ever have to do some kind of marathon raid in one of your shooty MMO things again. Which is probably what Theira is usually doing while off-duty!

Psu: She’s probably yelling about the Last Wish raid or something... Man I wanna play Last Wish. I miss Destiny, sometimes. But if I played more Destiny, I probably wouldn’t get as many pages done.

Gunwild: The only named game we've given Kettlehead and Theira to play is "Moonstone Doomgate," which is presumably an MMORPG like what it's named after, the game "Moonstone Gate" from the comic Sunstone.

Psu: I don’t usually think of MMORPGs when I think of Sunstone...

Gunwild: Well they spend a lot of time in them! Can't believe you didn't notice. I'm telling Stjepan.

Psu: Tell Stjepan to stop playing Destiny and games and putting out so many comics! How does he do that?

Gunwild: Love for his work and Slavic magic.

Psu: He’s pretty great.

Gunwild: Then again, between us we've got those and we're still not very fast...
