You know how those cops treated those gay guys? That's how a lot of trans victims are treated still to this day. I've had friends assaulted out in the street by men and the cops show up and either do nothing or they pin the blame on my friends - despite the clear indications. Its why I will never trust a cop, among many other reasons. If I ever found myself in a dangerous situation or I saw someone in need I'm not calling the cops - I'm dealing with it myself, because its frankly the safest way.
