Psu: Okay, so I think we've already talked about most of the story stuff that has gotten us to this point. Theira continues to be confounded by the limits of her weaponry, again she's not the one at fault here. But I think there's a lot of notes to make about the visuals in this page. And there's a lot of them! I think the first thing to talk about might be how I had to be careful with that whole tentacle thing. Figuring out how tentacles grab someone is honestly pretty difficult! You can't make them look too weak to hold up someone, and you can't make them look so solid that they don't work as a writhing mass.
Psu: Another big issue on this page was how to define the lasers. On this I think I did a "so-so" job. What you had to be able to see was that there are two different lasers hitting the tentacles in the last panel and not one laser going through it. The two lasers were supposed to combine in a way that Old Salt's armor wouldn't be able to take. I settled on having them be different colors, based on the usual colors throughout the series. Blue-ish tends to mean Regency type weapons. Green-ish for unaffiliated pirates. (And pink or yellow for Vanaa.)
Psu: If I were redrawing that last panel, I'd try to make it clearer that the lasers are coming from different angles. But the space was pretty limited. You don't want to make that kind of moment TOO big on the page or else you spoil the surprise too early.
Gunwild: Ah ah ah! One is a maser. They used to be a standby weapon in the Toho Gozilla series so that they could include some flashly light special effects when all the little tank models would go fight the monsters and lose.
Psu: The new movie could've used some proper masers and a drill ship. Hey, we tend to use a lot of Godzilla gags with Theira don't we? I mean... I guess there's masers and that one time she goes skreeeonk. So that's just two. But two is a lot.
Gunwild: She's also a monster you can love!
