Psu: As if this comic wasn't complicated enough, here's a pirate cowboy on a skull space boat.
Gunwild: He's also a blob of goop. Hey, "Xiphos barrage!" A xiphos is a kind of ancient Greek sword. See, because I wanted them to have Greek theming in the Regency instead of Roman like we normally get with space imperialists. Okay, just wanted to call that out again.
Psu: It's important that we maintain these themes so that people remember that the Regency are not the jelly ones. Meanwhile, we haven't really used Salt enough but it was great to finally have a character singing a shanty.
Gunwild: I really like traditional music... and yeah Salt will come back, we've so far given all the chances for recurring antagonists to Mercy and Dr. Botz.
Psu: Gunwild says we need to stop making more... Anyway. I enjoyed the structure of this page. It was a nice way to show all our different casts and scenes and stuff. And then there's the very subtle bit with Kitty on Minx's wrist communicator. What's Kitty doing there!?!
Gunwild: Watch-ing out for things.
Psu: In terms of actual new designs on this ship, we got to see a bit of Salt's ship before but I don't think we talked about it. It's another "Skull" ship like a lot of Vanaa designs that are supposed to be reminiscent of skulls. Except we agreed that in Salt's case, he KNOWS it looks like a humanoid skull.
Gunwild: My favorite face on this page is Cassiopeia's as she's still just trying to drive a long way from all this trouble...
Psu: There are a couple other features that set it apart from most Vanaa stuff. While it still has the big "energy orb" thing that propels the ship, it has its gyro rings formed like a tentacle. The front "bow" of the ship and the tentacles behind gives his ship a kind of Kraken look. I just hope it looks a little scary when it's all together.
Gunwild: The fearsome vessels of the jellybean people...
