Gunwild: Is it weird that my favorite thing in this comic is "The Good Cookies?" Because everyone understands the concept of "The Good Cookies," and so much of sci-fi and fantasy is just making the figurative literal.

Psu: I happen to like "Standard Human Lunch." But man, this one strip did a LOT for Cassiopeia's character. I know we sorta just drop it in the middle of some other stuff, but that's kinda what we do on holidays. It might be nice to make a version of the comic site that shows everything in a better order.

Gunwild: I still haven't finished making our tags system yet... also the thing where she's getting a flower from outside the walls might be too subtle. If we did it now I'd probably hit that harder. But we know it's there and we like it.

Psu: It's something to reward readers who come back! Like beebots.

Gunwild: As long as we're here, which do you like more? The Netflix Carmen Sandiego reboot, or the Netflix She-Ra reboot?

Psu: Wait, you're making me choose now? In public? Well, I've watched more She-ra but that's not so say I don't like Carmen's style. I just worried the show was doing too much backstory exposition at the beginning and not enough hijinks! I guess we sorta had the opposite issue and took a long time to develop our backstories more.

Gunwild: I mean if there was a time for me to ask you, that was it...

Psu: So... speaking of backstories, we never really did say who Beebot is from. I had some wild ideas that you shot down right away.

Gunwild: I mean I didn't wanna mention that in case we wanted to use it later on. But it was so wild that pulling it out right up front would have taken all the focus from a comic so quiet there aren't even any words in it

Psu: Well we weren't going to tell the reader in that page! It was enough that we surprised everyone with a little orphan!

Gunwild: Personally I was just thinking it was a holiday donation. They're so important for so many good kids who aren't getting provided for as completely as they might be. At the holidays, their want is keenly felt, and generosity all the more appreciated. So to me it didn't really matter who gave Cassiopeia the gift - the point is, she got a present for Christmas, and it changed her life.

Psu: At the very least she could get some milk for real vitamin D.

Gunwild: I wonder if anyone who pronounces it "malk" thought we were making fun of them...

4) The orphanage was founded by Carmen Sandiego (which possibly overlaps with any of the above)

Ryan C. Thompson

There's at least three different ways to read "Sandiego" 1) Cassiopea is from Earth, USA 2) Cassiopea is from a planet named "Sandiego" 3) Cass lived at an orphanage that often wondered "where in the world" its charges had got to...
