Psu: I remember we went on quite a while about the inclusion of the last two panels.

Gunwild: This is a good one. Did we argue over it or were we just not sure what to put in them?

Psu: I think we weren't sure about the necessity of them, or what they added. I can't recall exactly what the hubbub was. Or maybe it was missing the point by adding a twist there. But I think it seemed appropriate to say that both of them work really hard in different ways. I think it's worth wondering if this says the night owl has a worse life because of slow habits but maybe they just operate at different speeds.

Gunwild: Probably why one is in the military and one is very not. I do like that we included this small bit of Cassiopeia working on her speeder well before anything else suggest we're gonna do a racing chapter.

Psu: We knew we were going to do the race so I started wondering what things I could slip into the background. I know I've tried doing that with other in-between sections of this story. Anyway, I'd like to point out a number of the things invented for this page. In particular the watermelon pillows and Manitoba. I actually drew the waterfall and picked the name Manitoba before I knew there were wilderness and waterfalls in Manitoba.

Gunwild: There are! Alas, they account for only a small portion of Manitoba. So a real-life Manitoban commented like "Wow I thought it was too flat around here for that." But Maddy has probably never been in person, so let's forgive her for letting an ambience screensaver only show her a little bit.

Psu: Speaking of screensavers, have people been noticing the Flying Toasters yet? I think we've gone through a couple years of comics and haven't actually mentioned the flying toasters.

Gunwild: Oh yeah, maybe not. Audience, go look through our comic and see that every once in a while, roaming around on people's screens, are flying toasters similar to the ones from the famous After Dark series of screensavers from the 1990s.

Psu: I actually think they're living creatures on the same plane of existence that Skript Kitty is. They're just like computer pigeons. They go around.

Gunwild: So majestic.

Psu: Can you tell what peia is holding in her photo on panel 4?

Gunwild: No. If I knew I have forgotten.

Psu: Me neither, she's got bra straps and no neck collar thing.

Gunwild: Prolly cuz it's the past!

Psu: Well anyway, more important addition. I'd really be happy if people recognize the duck in panel 5.

It was more correctly spelled "Tannhäuser Gate" in the script, but then we realized that character doesn't exist in the font the comic is lettered in!

Thank you for noticing!

+5 for “Tannhauser Gate”.

Yay Question Duck! Or a reasonable facsimile. Maybe it's like the illegal Shepard AI that made the rounds in ME2 and 3.
