Added 2018-08-21 02:15:52 +0000 UTCGunwild: I probably should have called for more underlining of this Green Martian lady's appearance at the beginning of the chapter, looking attracted to Lefyne. Her reappearing here seemed to confuse some people. But I like her, and enjoy continually sneaking her into Lefyne's appearances as a touch of continuity.
Psu: I think even though it could feel a little sudden, mostly because we never really got to see him banter with her (as we should presume she did just before the events of the comic) I feel that the page succeeded in capturing a mood better than a lot of other pages in our comic. This one just has such a somber attitude that contrasts with the rest of the issue, and it fits who Lefyne really is. And it’s hard to top that final panel. I added a second star to the “Vegas” sign to remind everyone that this is a space comic.
Gunwild: It's a good look. I remember providing specific photo reference of the "goodbye "side of the Vegas sign to help, so you did a nice extrapolation. Also it was not my idea for the Martian gal to have pinched a bag full of loot from the casino, that was you as well. And a good choice, it was! If you're gonna go outlaw, you gotta do it right.
Psu: The black and white worked exceedingly well on this page too. The tone fits perfectly the way a night sky can feel and a car driving right by you. I like the idea that Lefyne is never actually tired of looking up at the sky, too.
Gunwild: Much like humans and vanaa, he might just be at odds with Cassiopeia because they have a lot in common...
Psu: Does that mean Cassiopeia is into four armed green martians too?
Gunwild: I dunno. It would be rude to ask about her romantic history!
