GUNWILD: So, not gonna overdo it on annoying political commentary. However, both Psu and I are American, which is why this update existed. Both of us are pretty down with the idea of equal rights for all kinds of people. It's been a little hard to stay optimistic about that idea, at times, because obviously, there will always be some too selfish to abide equality.
GUNWILD: But, as disconnected from the actual story as this image is... looking at it reminds me that once in a while, if you keep at it and care about it, you can make things better for somebody who really needs it. Maybe even a whole lot of people.
PSU: I'mma gonna be frank. Half of the reason I went ahead with this was because I was pretty late and I thought it would be easier to get a quick sketch out of the way. THEN I got ambitious and it took longer. Anyway I'm glad I did because I sure as heck believe in the cause as well. And wanted to celebrate the decision. Maybe we should link exactly what we're talking about with a news report from that week?
GUNWILD: Oh, yeah, I can do that. I'll make this text a hyperlink to the page. And this text a hyperlink to an article.
PSU: Animated comic pages are definitely something I could do, given that Cassiopeia is a webcomic. But as technology is, the compression of the images will result in a less appealing page. There are very few occasions when I would use an animation but having a fun little "rainbow" symbol that's also the symbol of something being put on hold for a second, seemed too good to pass up. Especially since I was literally having a hard time keeping up at this point.
GUNWILD: Maybe you'd have been more excited to draw it if we'd celebrated by having Cassiopeia and Maddy kiss.
PSU: Excitement isn't always the issue on pages. But again, that's not happening. It'd be messed up if we implied without earning.
GUNWILD: So it's not happening FOR NOW, you mean.
