Psu: Minx should've gotten that Hostess Robot Body instead.
Gunwild: They don't just have those lying around! By the way, this story is rife with little visual inclusions to things we love. We don't do that so much anymore, mostly because it takes time and isn't super important... and also I admit that when I call for it, it usually doesn't add much to the story. It's mostly just Ready Player One style, with me going "I love these things and I want to bury myself in them." Which is fine! But maybe not the most original idea.
Gunwild: That being said, "The Final Frontier" is a good name for a casino in space Vegas, Melinda M. Snodgrass wrote Measure of a Man and that's one of my top five Star Trek episodes, and it remains awesome that the Green Martians from the works of Edgar Rice Borroughs are public domain.
Psu: I think that's Zatanna on the stage show in the billboard. Still, this whole issue I'm glad I got a couple things done before digging into it. I'm really happy with Madison and Cassiopeia's dresses.
Gunwild: Oh, and "Fortunato" may be obvious, but "Claudice" is because Claudius, my favorite part of of The Twelve Caesars, liked to play dice. These aren't clever allusions, just me amusing myself and forcing Psu to go along with it.
Psu: Heh, honestly I don't even ask sometimes. Fortunato? Okay, sounds good to me.
Gunwild: Maddy and Cassiopeia in dresses is good. We know that they actually both like playing dress-up, although Maddy gets to indulge in it less since she needs to be in uniform. It's a parallel we'll hit on in the future!
Psu: We don't really get into it but maybe we can figure it out now, do you think this was Cassiopeia's first time meeting Lefyne? Like, she had already figured she's going to rob this place. But she also might've figured it could be fun to meet this other famous smuggler. But she didn't realize he'd rub her the wrong way until about two hands into their game.
Gunwild: Nah, they've probably run into each other before. We know she doesn't like that he always makes the cover of SMUG magazine while she doesn't. In fairness to him, he spends a LOT more time cultivating a public image and networking.
Psu: It probably made it an easier decision for Cassiopeia to rob him blind. But funnily enough, I feel like Cassiopeia probably could've just won the game fair and square!
Gunwild: Like she says, she was only gonna steal the pot if she lost. That's just being fair.
