Page Commentary No. 65

Gunwild: "Clack" is a good sound for finishing spinning a revolver with a robotic hand.

Psu: If ever there was a page that needed color. Okay well I would list at least three Vanaa pages that still need color but this would've benefited too. Still, I think we had some compliments on this page. Like on an actual review podcast once!

Gunwild: Oh yeah, I liked hearing that someone appreciated the silliness. I still wonder exactly what music they played for a planet-wide dance party though. It's so hard to cater to the tastes of literally everyone.

Psu: I'd suggest Happy by Pharrel.

Gunwild: People DO like that one.

Psu: Cassiopeia's toys are something we could talk about here. On this page there are at least three different thingies she's using. We get to invent a lot of things for her out of whole cloth because she's just expected to have all kinds of gadgets anyway. It's maybe a little too easy to just call up whatever device your character will need in a story, unless you're Q and that's actually your entire function in the story. But I think Cassiopeia has some allowances for fun toys anyway.

Gunwild: Well, the mag-harpoon she's used a few times, the rocket boots get mentioned more than once (although they haven't been a critical plot tool on their own I don't think), and the robot controller device met an ignominious end. So I think we do explain the stuff she owns more often than we might.

Psu: And she got a sweet jacket in the end!

Gunwild: Oh yeah. Botz is never gettin' that back.

Psu: I think I actually draw her with a different coat the next time that appears. And Cassiopeia does put on that top a few times herself. It's kinda fun that I think they're pretty similar people. Well except one is evil. (Which one?) Botz is maybe another one of them flighty brains that grew up in space. Is that actually a thing happening in this universe? It can't be. There are LOADS of regular grounded people raised in space. Right?

Gunwild: Maybe most people have the good sense to keep small children in artificial gravity... shout outs to the sidling-away waitress reappearing in panel 5.

Psu: Oh god, I forgot I drew the robot falling over and looking embarrassed. That's... hilarious.

Gunwild: I feel bad for him :(
