Psu: HEY DID YOU GUYS KNOW I DID THIS OTHER COMIC!?!

Gunwild: Psu likes drawing this adorable roaming duck so much that I actually take pictures of ducks whenever I go on trips just to show them to Psu.

Psu: I do have more pictures of ducks than I used to. Anyway, this was posted exactly on April 1st right? With Question Duck, thanks to a friend, I had at least one really extravagant April Fools and some other good gags during that run. I kinda love April Fools as a webcomic tradition because it's a good opportunity to break barriers for your own story. This one isn't so much breaking a barrier as putting right up front a nice cameo.

Gunwild: It's nice of the Vanaa to fix up the planet a little with these ecology-replenishing genetically-engineered lifeforms.

Psu: Yeah, I definitely enjoyed getting to go wild with the environment. After being burned and glasses, it's fun to imagine just what kinds of things you could do to fix it. And it's extra fun to imagine being able to visit it.

Psu: I don't know if it's totally visible, but I feel like special mention should be made for the "tool" in his right hand.

Gunwild: I assumed it had lunch in it.

Psu: It has markings of important cultural significance.

Gunwild: Of course, it's always fun to look up answers to Question Duck questions 'cause it sparks your curiosity. But man, there isn't a clear, known answer for this one!

Psu: Heh, if we wanna get into talking about the writing process for Question Duck I'm sure my long time fans would appreciate it. Question Duck thrives on a few things. Inventiveness of getting to visit and see new places. Finding creative ways to tell ultimately the same joke. Timeliness. And when it comes to the question itself, it is BEST when the question is a clear one to solve. If you get into wobbly stuff, you could eventually start wobbling into opinion. And that's dangerous territory for any cute comic dealing with the real world.

Gunwild: I dunno, you can get a lot of repeat hits when people are coming back to argue about their opinions!

Psu: Ahhaaahhh yeah let's just move on.

Heh cute. What is it with ducks? A long time ago, an artist friend who knew my love for Beast Wars drew the rubber duckie. Then drew that in her stuff in a mini comic I wrote/she drew. Then she crafted her own duck and took it all over the place. I remember she showed it to the late great Andy Hallett who was all over the darn thing. It was even part of her art gifts we exchanged. She gave me a devil duckie, a wall scroll picture of a Gundam Wing character I was fond of, and she crafted this Cyborg Rubber duckie. Have all three and cherish to this day. Sadly real life and internet just got away from us. I still wonder how she's doing in Florida.
