Hey dude, thank you for the update! It makes this patreon thing feel way more special. I was happy to hear you weigh in on Deluxgate. Which is a scandal, but a dumb one... I for one feel like I have to go on the defensive and help ease opinions of people online (a fools errand!) and remind them that ports are a good thing. I'm worried that this is Nintendo's best chance to keep us from the game drought that has plagued the Wii U as well as every other Nintendo system since N64. We don't want a drought, but we won't tolerate ports, and the big hitters we know Nintendo has in store for us don't seem like enough. But without 3rd parties, how do we expect Nintendo to meet demand? I ramble a lot, and I'm so so sorry, but I do think this is an angle that no one wants to consider. Thankfully for the first time in maybe 10 years, all of E3 seems to potentially hold something special to look forward to. I expect to hear an announcement or two about Switch stuff from other press conferences, which makes the wait for me a bit easier. Maybe reporting on Nintendo stuff happening outside of the Nintendo Showcase is an interesting take for you in a video? And that might help spread out your work load? Any way, thank you for the update. You're my favorite!

All great points I've thought I thought of as well. Not sure why people thought a new Pokemon game for a brand new console would be revealed in an 8 minute throwaway... That is an E3 caliber announcement. Anyway, I'm glad to see Pokken come to Switch. People forget that the game came out on Wii U deep into it's lifespan after everyone knew it was a failed console in sales. This will give literally millions of people a chance to play this week skipped the Wii U before.

I will say, I was absolutely thrilled with the Pokemon Direct. I love Pokken, and I'm thrilled at the idea that more people will probably play it this time around, and I had completely given up on the idea that we were going to get the new characters in the West (they've been in Japanese arcades for a while, except Decidueye). I'm absolutely giddy over this port. Past that, I just don't know what people were anticipating with Ultra Sun/Moon being on 3DS but not the Switch. They're clearly still pushing the 3DS, Nintendo is typically good about supporting their systems a while after a new one releases, for the most part. Crystal Version came out AFTER the GBA came out. Black/White 2 came out AFTER the 3DS came out. Also, can you imagine what a new mainline Pokemon would do to these Switch stock issues? Even if they were just the Diamond/Pearl remakes people have been anticipating (for some reason), Nintendo is having a hard enough time keeping Switches in stores as is, that would just exacerbate that problem so much. I say let's be patient for a NEW Pokemon in like, 2019 that'll be THE BIGGEST EVER since they're working with this much horsepower in the hardware! That seems reasonable. Maybe in order to get your thoughts out on more games, in place of full-blown reviews that require you to play through the whole game and get REALLY deep in there, put out more first-impression type stuff? Bring on E3, whoo! GIMME DAT INSOMNIAC SPIDER-MAN GAME.
