Post-E3 Rest

Awwww yeahhhhh, it feels good to have all that done.  It seriously felt great to post that Gamer's Brief and call E3 a done deal.  My E3 bloopers video actually went over better than I expected, I think.  The downvote ratio hovers around 10%, and I consider that a victory for a controversial and/or joke video (my Star Fox review is like 11 or 12% I think...hrm).  It helped a little when I changed the thumbnail and name to look a little more obviously like a joke.  I absolutely understand the criticism some people had that it doesn't exactly match the purely-good-natured theme of the rest of the channel.  I'm really not sure why I wanted to do it so much; I just thought it was so stupid and funny that I couldn't help myself.  For anyone who's worried though, that kind of video won't be a regular thing; or at least the more cynical tone won't be.

Oh man, big news!  Well, it's big to ME at least...  Let's call it exciting news.  I contacted the creators of the game "Inside" about maybe getting a review copy of the game.  If you're not familiar, they're the people who made the extremely excellent Limbo and Inside is like the spiritual successor.  Well they got back to me and had me fill out a request form, and a few days later I got a message back saying that when they send out their review copies I'll be getting one!!!  How amazing it that??? I guess I've got enough subscribers now that I can be considered for this kind of thing, even for a game as high-profile as Inside.  That's extremely exciting to me.  So I'll have a review for that once whatever embargo they place lifts.  The game comes to Steam in like two weeks, so I imagine it won't be long.  Still waiting to hear back from the makers of Ittle Dew 2, because I'd love to get my hands on that as well.  Those are the only two people I've asked so far.  This September I'll try my hand at Nintendo about getting a copy of Color Splash.  Keep your fingers crossed that big companies want to help me out as well.

So my review of Inside might be the only major piece of content I put out for a while.  I already went on about it in the last blog, but this guy needs a break.  I'm glad that I'll have at least that, though.  And if I get the time I might finish my highlights reel for the first part of my Super Mario Galaxy 2 LP.  So considering I had so many videos in June, I won't feel too bad about managing at least two in July, which is leagues better than nothing.

Just thought I'd chime in and tell you about the Inside thing, mostly.  Gosh, I'm just so stoked!  Haha.  Well I'll catch you all later!
