I just read SQUAD by Maggie Tokuda-Hall and Lisa Sterle and it really struck a chord with me. It's a graphic novel about 4 girls in highschool who are also werewolves! I don't want to spoil too much but suffice it to say that it asks some questions about whether it's OK to predate on predators, and how far is too far when it comes to vigilante justice.
Last weekend at MCM I was mildly sexually assaulted and I've been struggling all week with feelings of worthlessness and just like, past traumas creeping back up on me if that makes sense, but SQUAD was really helpful to read and I wanted to make something kind of inspired by what I'm feeling right now but also by the book.
