There was a lot of back and forth about what should be on the cover of our anthology. I'm always drawn to books that have characters on the cover, but I also felt uncomfortable with drawing characters that are meant to represent all people with autism.

I'd have wanted the characters to be diverse in terms of body type, race, gender, abledness and it would have had to have been a lot of people. I also wanted to avoid stereotyping that autistic people might roll their eyes at (a kid in ear defenders, that sort of thing).

In the end, we decided to go with objects. The final cover might look slightly different to this because the idea is that everyone is going to suggest what objects we should include!

I'll be the first to say that I am not very good at book cover design, but I'm also pretty happy with how this is looking so far!
