Holy Moly this sure was a crunch but it is done! This is *so* not like what I usually work on but because of that it was a really good learning experience.
I hope the finished thing looks ok haha, I can tell the parts where I was clearly rushing but I hope it isn't too obvious to anyone else. It's hard for me because usually I put 1000% of my effort into everything I draw but there's kind of an unofficial rule in comics that you're only supposed to draw with 60% of your actual skill, otherwise the dang thing will never get done! I've been trying to embrace that more lately (hence the ball hands in most of my comics now haha) but it's hard to not think of my work as sloppy in that regard.
Comic commissions are always really interesting to work on. They make me feel like a 'real' comic artist (which is a completely arbitrary and nonsensical thing to say lmao). Maybe it's just that this one has a fantasy vibe and there are a lot of fantasy comics so I feel like I'm touching on that somewhat because I've been drawing wolves and caves and a dude in armour haha :>
Anyway god I'm so tired so I'm rambling lmao. I'm going to go play Paradise Killer to relax because I've earned it! Tomorrow I'll be working on a music commission and after that I will finally be catching up on autobio comics! Yay! I can't wait :D
