I believe the cocktail of emotions felt are more potent if there is limited control over the situation which is spiraling out of control. If the husband has no control, no power, then reason stands that they'd just cut all ties. In the case of a cheating wife, a story is more believable and thrilling when there's the element of doubt or plausible deniability -- the nagging suspicions of implications that pile up paired with facts that discount the possibility. This gives us that cocktail I mentioned mixed with jealousy, desire, and more notably anger about things we can't control which we believe we should be able to. When there's no ability to control then why feel whatever feeling, be that shame, disgust, anger, etc. In the blackmail route I found it more plausible that the husband would quit his job and leave the country, having just learned that his wife had left him for another man and that man was leveraging against his career and such. Why stay? What's left? He'd just empty his bank accounts and leave for Trinidad and Tobago.

2025-03-18 14:37:18 +0000 UTCI dint choose blackmail as: 1. I personally don`t like this trait and prefer not to choose it 2. As was said in previous comment I don`t felt it is necessary as to them to have some action I think I would prefer to have an option to speak with Lisa about having open relationship and then to discover this new dynamic and temptations with her. But curious to see how story will develop
