Secret Bonus Panel: Stress Smoke
Added 2020-02-04 15:25:38 +0000 UTCI am partial to an occasional smoke, especially when I'm feeling stressed out in a social situation. Often it's just an excuse to get away from people for ten minutes. There's something I really like about being able to excuse myself for a cigarette, and then being able to be outside (typically at night) with my own thoughts.
During my darkest days, I liked to use smoking imagery in my work and I still feel the urge to do it sometimes but I'm wary of coming across as pro-smoking + endorsing that message so I tend to steer clear of it these days!!
I feel very neutral about smoking. It obviously isn't 'cool' lol but if people want to smoke, it's their right to not be made to feel like a bad person for doing it. I guess like with everything, there's a line. As a light smoker it's very easy for me to feel neutral about it but maybe my attitudes would change if I found myself in the presence of heavy smokers.
Anyway I still do like the imagery of the lonely melancholy smoker though if we're being honest haha
