I agreed with everything I was told and convinced myself I was wrong or stupid for having a different opinion
I tried to make myself small so I wouldn’t stand out or be an inconvenience
I wanted to hide away. If no-one knew me, no-one could judge me
But I want to laugh loudly and share my joy
I want to take up space and create spaces for others
I want to be fierce and use my voice for something good
I am worthy of being here
