The Crumbled Empire of our Youth
Added 2020-01-17 13:58:25 +0000 UTCI developed a short comic for a pitch in late 2019 about two online friends trying to reconnect after drifting apart not talking for about ten years and parting under weird circumstances. Drawing heavily from my own experience of spending a significant portion of my youth on Habbo Hotel, this comic would use a similar online environment to tell the story.
I still think about my teenage online experience a lot and how meaningful it was for me to be online and make friends that way. I would love to take this project further in the future as a short project after I've finished Violapse!
