2024-02-18 08:52:36 +0000 UTCWe all suffered the horrible quality watching RTK, wish they would just put it up on Viki or something even though its an older show. To your question about if they knew about the next show, yes they did. After the success of Queendom and its winner joining the Queens of kpop, it was already a buzz that there would be Kingdom so we were expecting that, but there are just so many boy groups that are relatively successful so Mnet was like well lets have your "C-tier" groups who have decent sales and fans but maybe no show wins or are just "behind" B tier groups in popularity compete first. Then the winner and your "B-tier groups" will compete to join the Kings of Kpop (A-tier). When this show aired only The Boyz and Golden Child had music show wins, compared to the teams that when Kingdom LW started were all show winners, decent charts/sales, etc. The shows happened at a really good time cause it targeted a global audience when all these groups couldnt tour with the pandemic so it gave lifts to some older groups and helped newer groups get their name out there better so it is sad the two boys seasons are closed studio no audience while the girls seasons they did get live audiences.
