2023-11-08 22:18:32 +0000 UTCAs mentioned above, if you remember in the first couple of episodes, we see a young girl who is adopted into a family to help the wife of that family cope with the loss of their talented young daughter. The girl embodies that role to the best of her abilities, always trying to make her adopted mother proud. That young girl is Eun Yu's mom. So while Eun Yu knows her grandparents, those are the couple that adopted her mother. The biological father/grandfather however, is the musician guy that taught the ML, and she didn't know him while he was alive.

2023-11-08 19:08:51 +0000 UTCTo clear up any confusion about Eun Yu (Sekyung's daughter) not knowing that grandpa Viva is her actual grandfather, Sekyung was given up for adoption by grandpa Viva and was eventually adopted by her current family. Sekyung seems to be aware that grandpa Viva is her bio dad but resents him for essentially abandoning her, thus not wanting any contact with him. Eun Yu didn't even know that her mom had "another dad" until they came back for his funeral. Even then, it is very unlikely that Sekyung actually talked about him, gave her his name, or had any photos of him to show Eun Yu. So to conclude, Eun Yu should be aware that her mom was adopted but doesn't actually know WHO her bio grandpa is, thus why she keeps asking younger grandpa Viva if he knows her. I hope that makes sense! I'm happy you're enjoying the show and this episode was definitely a rollercoaster!
