"Tricked the hirelings into drawing out the Lizard Lich's fireball (and dying immediately) so that they can then rush in and kill it and then killing the one remaining hireling so they don't have to split the loot" is pretty standard. Hmm... I bet Fighter would get a kick out of that game...
