There is no correct answer to this challenge, just three uniquely incorrect ones.
To begin, ask the luckless PC to make a DC 17 Charisma (Persuasion) check. On a success, you may proceed to the next part of the encounter. Failure indicates equivocation, an unintentional insult, or mindlessly repeating “humana humana humana.” In all cases, roll initiative immediately.
Attempts to weasel out of making a decision result in playful teasing at first, then heckling from the contestants, and finally the same initiative check as a failed attempt at Persuasion.
Decisions, Decisions: Whoever wins this beauty contest will bestow a boon upon the judge. Unfortunately, the losers are not gracious.
- Witch: If Witch’s design is chosen, the judge receives two small but perky pearls worth 300 gp apiece, as well as four considerably larger pearls worth 500 gp apiece. However, the judge must also succeed at a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become magically charmed for 1 day. The object of their affections is a giant oyster with the zombie template.
- Necromancer: If Necromancer’s design is chosen, the judge receives three delicious tropical beverages. The Elvis is Dead acts as potion of stabilize, the Coco Loco counts as a potion of protection from law, and the Piña Colada serves as a potion of heroism. However, there is a fourth potion in the mix. It appears to be a Bahama Mama infused with haste. In reality, it is a bahama mama of infernal enmity (acts as the Flames card in a deck of many things).
- Succubus: If Succubus’s design is chosen, the judge may immediately make a Ride check. However, they must also make DC 13 Constitution saving throw versus some (very-artfully thrown) dust of dryness, followed by a DC 17 Will saving throw against Vulnerability (friction burn).
