The summer forest theme is complete! I enjoyed leveling up my background drawing skills as well as spending time with these new forest friends. Thank you to everyone who suggested animals and voted in polls this month!

One thing I wanted to learn this month was how to draw an animal in the water from an upper view. It was fun to try to incorporate a new water effect in a sticker design.

So, just a thing I wanted to say; I choose to keep "The Latest Kate" purely about animal encouragement because I want it to be a predictable safe haven. After many years surviving a chaotic, abusive environment, I personally really value knowing what to expect when I follow an artist or watch a TV show.

I just want you to know, from one internet stranger to another, I am always wishing you well. I know considering the distance and everything that probably doesn't mean a whole lot, but it's true. This internet weirdo Kate genuinely wants you to be safe and live a good life. I'm rooting for you.
