The DC Multiverse.

Notice something interesting?

Look at the 8 realms in the Sphere of the Gods. Each realm sits on the opposite side of its counterpart.

Dream - Nightmare.

Heaven - Hell.

New Genesis - Apokalips.

Skyland - The Underworld.

And out of these 8 realms, only 4 have a direct link to the Overvoid/The Source:-

-Skyland and the Underworld.

-Heaven and Hell.

Fascinating. What could it mean?

My conclusions is that the Overvoid/The Source is God/The Presence. And the reason why the Skylands and Underworld/ Heaven and Hell have a link to him is because they are all essentially occupied by Divine Spirits or if you wanna get technical True Gods.

As for the reason why Dream and Nightmare/ New Genesis and Apokalips lack a direct link to the Overvoid/The Presence/The Source, it's because they're essentially not Divine Spirits but False Gods.

It's not a matter of power. The Endless could wipe the floor with every Pantheon any day.

And to prove my point, Darkseid and High Father are known as New Gods as they were not born from Gods but received their powers from their old Gods. Unlike someone like Apollo whose Dad is Zeus, a God and mother Rhea, a Titan.

As for the Endless, they only came about as a result of the Presence creating Humans.

So what's the difference between True Gods and False Gods?

Faith.

From the beginning, Humans have believed in a supreme entity responsible for their existence.

Different cultures came up with their own idea of this/these entities.

That belief actualized in splinter selves forming from the Overvoid.

But as the Overvoid is above the Multiverse itself, and cannot interact with the material world, the splinter selves became the Stand Ins. Gods like Zeus and Odin were worshipped long ago. Even Yahweh was worshipped long before that.

Final Conclusions:-

True Gods are lesser clones/copies of the Overvoid.

Or I might be very very wrong. Eager to hear what you guys think.

That also makes sense.

I mean, we can go a bit meta. Given that the Overvoid is already meta, it seems fair. The Overvoid is essentially just the real world narratively. Since the DC authors kind of just ripped the religions straight into their comics, it could be said they're more real then the rest of the multiverse which was mainly inspired.

Damn that's fascinating
