Question: How can Amazo copy Angel's Cryo and Pyro without having his own magic?
Answer: First of, I'll begin by quoting this popular saying, 'any sufficiently advanced science is indistinguishable from magic.'
Secondly, Amazo is part mechanical/part synthetic. His entire body is made up of something called Absorption cells( a variant of nano-machines maybe?)that can change composition at will to duplicate any ability he sees, particularly metahuman abilities.
This is achieved by scanning a being's bio-field and genetic makeup. In addition, in this Universe, Amazo's power core has small amounts of Element X, also known as Tenth Metal. The very same element used in powering up Motherboxes, Fatherboxes and most New God tech.(More on that later, but basically Element X is pure creation energy)
On top of that, Amazo is a supercomputer in the shape of a humanoid. He has access to various sciences and can complete high level calculations at speeds of thought. Hence finding a universal formula that let's him access dimensions of power like the Speedforce is not far out of reach.
Conclusion: So with all that, we can conclude the source of Amazo's frankly mindboggling duplication powers is...because comics.
Saint's Take: I've done a few dives online and on reddit(shudder) and everyone seems to have their own take of how this Godlike Android works his magic. My take is a combination of high tech scanners, malleable body constitution and element X. But don't take my word for it. It's just my opinion. If someone has a better explanation please don't hesitate to share it.
