Eight Handled divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga Stomps Everyone And Their Mother. (EHDSDGMSEATM)

Chapter 1: A broken City part 1

There was never a TRUELY peaceful day in Metropolis.

Even with Superman around.

Peace was a facade. It didn't truly exist. There was only a brief respite before the next battle.

Whether it was the Royal Flush Gang that never seemed to learn a lesson, (you can't really commit a heist in the middle of the day and expect the man of steel not to hound your ass)

Intergang- whose operations Superman had destroyed time and time again...or even the Toymaster, all these agents of chaos were firmly opposed to Peace.

And Superman, the definite symbol of that peace was always there, ready with an exasperated expression and a firm grip wherever these Peace-Disruptors leered their heads.

And although he sometimes got pushed back, maybe even hurt a little, he always won.

Every. Goddamn. Time.

Until today.

(A Satellite Monitoring Station In the outskirts of Metropolis:- Secretly an Argus Facility)

"You better have a good reason for waking me up in the middle of the night."

A heavyset woman, dressed in a purple suit and white pearls addressed her companion, a bald headed man wearing round glasses.

He had on a tweed blazer over a black full neck, with lengthy mutton chops framing the sides of his face.

"A threat I would not take lightly, director."

Hugo Strange, an Argus consultant replied gravely.

"But I believe...this takes precedence over your sleep."

Amanda Waller snorted but stayed silent as they walked into the operations room.

"Okay people, what has the Joker done now?"

She demanded.

"Ah, not the Joker this time Ma'am."

A techie told her, leaving his chair and bringing her a pad.

"We intercepted a signal coming from outerspace a few hours ago."

"And?"

Waller fixed him a glare.

"At first, we thought maybe it was debris."

Hugo cut in.

"Remnants of the rogue Thanagarian fleet that tried to invade the planet a week ago."

Amanda snorted at the 'Rogue' part. They all knew there was nothing unsanctioned about that attack. But if the government wanted to play nice with the fucking feathered assholes, fine with her.

"And?"

She groused again, her mood terrible.

Before anyone could answer, the alarm started blaring.

"It's entered the Earth's atmosphere!"

One of the agents yelled from his monitoring station.

"On a direct trajectory towards...Washington D.C. specifically, the White House."

Silence reigned for all but one nano-second.

"Pull it up on the screen! Now!"

All traces of sleep escaped Waller as she roared out orders.

"And get me the Secret Service on line 2!"

"Why line 2?"

Hugo asked as the two of them stared at the grayish white capsule burning on entry, displayed on the screen for all to see.

"Because I want Batman and the League on line 1."

She responded heatedly.

"This is not a simple matter of National Security. The whole world will be thrown into chaos if that thing lands and destroys the United State's capital."

(Washington D.C)

Metropolis had Superman.

Gotham had Batman.

Washington D.C had

Diana Prince, popularly known as the Wonder Woman.

The best warrior in the world.

Her form, beautiful as it was radiant, cut through the sky, flying at a little over sound speed.

To her front, almost a mile away, the object of their concern appeared, a blazing path left in its wake.

"Batman, I see it."

Wonder Woman spoke into the device strapped to her ear.

"It's over Capitol Hill, I'm intercepting it now."

"Roger Wonder Woman, I'm out by 2 minutes."

Batman responded,

"E.T.A, 30 seconds. Superman is on his way from Asia, I anticipate we arrive at the same time. Get it away from the residential area."

"Naturally."

Saying that, her flight speed increased dramatically, a sonic boom blasting out behind her.

Coming up close to the object in question, Diana unstrapped the Lasso of Truth, an artefact of immense power, durable enough that it would take more strength than she had to even break it.

Swinging the glowing rope above her, she launched it out at the capsule, winding the length of the laso across it's alien structure.

Once secure, she heaved, diverting the capsule's descent. It wasn't fast going, even with her immense demi-god strength.

But at least she managed to pull it away before the capsule landed ontop of the domed structure of the Capitol Hill Complex.

Ascending, Diana could hear and see the police on the ground, spotlights already shining at her and the load she was carrying away.

(A few miles off Washington)

(10 minutes later)

"Well Batman?"

Diana called out to the Dark Knight, who was busy running an L.E.D device across the capsule.

Diana had managed to get it away from the city.

And now with half the League present, they could respond with a powerful force if the capsule contained something dangerous.

"My scans indicate life within it."

Batman answered.

"So you're saying...its like an egg?"

The Flash questioned, knocking gently at the hard shell. To be fair, the capsule was oval in shape, very similar to one.

"50 percent likely."

Batman responded.

"We won't know until further analysis is done. Unless Superman's vision can penetrate it's outer layer."

"No dice."

The Man of Steel shook his head, hands crossed over a mighty chest.

"The only thing I can glean from it is a barely detectable pulse. Like the beat of a heart."

Just then, Green Lantern descended from the sky, landing on the ground next to his colleagues.

"Please tell us you found something."

Shazam spoke up.

Unfortunately, Hal shook his head.

"The thanagarians cleaned up their mess once we were done with them. They feared their technology landing in the hands of humans. So we can discount them being responsible for...whatever this is."

"And the Lantern corp archives?"

The Dark Knight asked.

"Nothing."

Green Lantern shook his head.

"Whatever it is, there is no record of it anywhere."

Soon after, government vans painted with the Argus symbol arrived, creating a cordon around the Capsule while the League watched on, ready to step in, in case something happened.

"So what's the plan?"

Green Arrow asked with a yawn.

Black Canary dug her elbow into his side.

"I told you to get enough sleep. Leave the patrols to Speedy. You've been running yourself ragged."

"Focus."

Batman ground out at the two, without looking up from the scans displayed by his wrist device.

"As for the plan, Argus will transport the load by van to the Metropolis Star Labs. They have superior scanning tech that should be able to tell us what this thing is."

"Van?"

Superman asked.

"Wouldn't it be easier if I or green lantern flew it there?"

Batman looked up.

"I'm perfectly aware of that option Superman. However, the truth is we have no idea what this thing is. It could be that coming into contact with the Green Lantern's ring or you, could induce a response. I've estimated that based on traffic and the Argus specialized vans, it will only take half a day to arrive at the lab."

The other leaguers stared at one another.

"In addition, the Flash will be running guard duty. His job will be to ensure the load arrives at the set destination."

Batman added, before turning around and walking away.

"Well, you heard the Man."

Superman breathed out, throwing a wry smile at the retreating Dark Knight.

"Flash, get a move on. I'll follow you from the sky. The rest of you, get some sleep while you can. Something tells me this is far from over."
