What do you think about the role of ice dragons in the general world of ice and fire. Based on the myths and legends cities in TWOIAF, it seems as though a serpent breathing ice rather than fire near the Shivering Sea prior to it being something that the night king just recently attained. The night king also seemed to know what dragons were when Dany flew them beyond the wall, they were unphased and fully ready, and whether you blame his knowledge of dragons to his hypothetical green seeing abilities or just how old he is and pure age, it just adds more credibility to the fact that these weren’t just myths, but more so reality. Additionally, with the emphasis of the Ice Dragon constellation within the books, as well as the Game of Thrones TellTales game The Ice Dragon (which has to do with the mythical North Grove), it just adds way more credibility. Could it be that an ice dragon played a role in a previous long night? Could a rouge ice dragon still be roaming somewhere in the shivering sea? Could the ice dragon be the key to the pact? The last two might be crackpot theories, but based on your theories on the fact that the Five Forts are similar to the Wall, could an ice dragon have played a role in both long nights?
