That's true, my understanding if drama needs more than 40 episodes, the rest has to come out following year๐ค

If there's no rule abt number of ep for every cdrama, maybe they can make more than 40 ep just like the old cdrama. Sometimes many scene got cut and make the story seems off. But huh.. Well what can we do..

It's not like the past when they could do like 50+ episodes for Nirvana in Fire or even 80+ episodes for palace serials like Legend of Zhen Huan. So they had to condense everything (50 episodes would have been a better length but it's unfortunately not possible)

However, anyway, the benefactor turning out to be that third person, his sudden change in attitude and the extreme fast pace of these episodes really caught the audience off guard.
