In the first tribulations, her hostility was the strongest, bc she fell from heaven full of hatred; then it eased a little after each subsequent life. This was because SF used his genuine sincerity and love to move her, gradually dissolving her resentment. And you will see why SF did this with her in ten lives in the last few episodes, and it made perfect sense. And the two people drinking forgettable water in the beginning is not the beginning of the tribulations, but the last time, right before they became XJ and SF. The scriptwriter did a good job on the main storyline, but struggled with some of the subplots.
