Itโs quite rare for Chinese period dramas to use original voices, as dubbing is much more common. This is because some actorsโ vocal tones donโt suit the historical setting, which can affect the authenticity for local audiences. The female leadโs real voice was heavily criticized at first, but personally, while it might sound a bit jarring initially, you get used to it after an episode or so. As for Ding Yuxi, needless to say, his acting and line delivery are professional in every aspectโno complaints there. Hope youโll give this drama a try!

A lot of people were complaining about the actress's acting, but I don't see a problem with it. The ending was kind of cut off (to me).. but what is with the Love and Redemption info in the background? I hope the trailer is good and it does not spoil the whole plot. Because I have seen some on ytb and it takes away the experience.
