Yeah the director killed too many characters, the things are he is always does that to his drama series. Anyway, you can watch another of Hou Minghaoโs series, itโs called Dashing Youth, which aired this year as well. Interesting fact, both of his dramas, Dashing Youth and Fangs of Fortune were filmed 18 days apart and you can see the different how he performed the characters.
