“Thank you for coming to see me please take a seat. Don’t laugh this is very serious I think you know why I called you in to see me. You came here on scholarship because we were so impressed with you from your secondary schooling. Almost instantly you fell in with the wrong crowd, a bunch of losers who only came to college because they thought it would be like what you see in the movies. Is that what you are, a loser? I don’t believe you are, I think you have great potential but it’s being wasted. Do you know what happens after our little chat here? I decide whether or not you get to stay here and if we pull your scholarship. Actually, yes we can do that. If you read your contract it states if you’re not meeting the obligations we set out for you. In other words turning up on time for class, putting in effort and ensuring you hand assignments up on time then we can cancel it.
The other boys have all had their tuition paid for and while it reflects badly on us; as long as the other 99% of the students perform well we continue to be one of the top college campuses in the state. You on the other hand have had everything provided for you up until now and unless you want that to stop you need to prove to me that you are willing to change. I can’t stop you from hanging out with those other guys but I think I know away that will make you not want too anymore. I suggest you cooperate, otherwise it’s no more scholarship and you can move right back home with mummy and daddy. Good it finally looks like you’re beginning to understand.”
