1/23/18 and Next Steps

 

Hey everyone, I wrote a reply on the last post clarifying some issues you all were talking about with the game, I don't think I need to repost it here.

Since the first version of the game largely seemed to work without any critical issues, I can safely say what I've finished in the game so far works. Since I have these essential components out of the way, I have a few directions I can now take in terms of development. I can work on the artwork of the game, like the character portraits for dialogue,  I can clean up the presentation by polishing the tilesets, and cleaning up the UI and dialogue boxes, I can add more functionality to the game by adding a run and "turning" feature to the player along with a gender switch option at the start, or I can add more features to the game, like a pause menu with inventory or equipment. I'd like to ask, which are you most interested in seeing? All of these will eventually be in the game, so please pick whatever you'd be interested in the most.

I'd also like to say, I'm in the last week of my Winter classes, so development time will be a bit limited. In addition, my Spring semester will start the week after, so I'll be even more busy at that point.
