12/8/17 and Steps

I used this afternoon to change up the system I use for passive healing and event changes. See, before I tracked "time" in the game from the amount of rooms you changed over time, so once you entered a room, time would freeze until you left (with the exception of some events). Well I finally got around to switching this over to a step based system, it was actually much more simple than I thought. Now time instead freezes if you stay still (with some exceptions), but if you start moving, time will move forward again. This means that passive healing can be done on any screen without having to change rooms. This is the same with soreness, exhaustion, or any other story event. So instead of say, waiting for someone to leave a location by moving in and out of a building, you can just pace back and forth near the door. This also meant I had to change the rate of healing as well, so now every 5 steps lowers the soreness by 1 point. This may sound like a lot of walking, but it's a pretty reasonable number. Walking around the center hill in Tungsten is about 50 steps for example. This may get adjusted by some amount in the future.
