11/13/17 and Event Layout

It's been a while everyone, and I felt I should get out another progress report by now. It's been hard to find time to work on the game with my schedule, but I've been doing what I can to make improvements. In preparation for the final stretch of work needing doing before the next update comes out, I've been making a list of all of the custom events I plan on having with all of the characters. While doing so, I was able to brainstorm a few more ideas in addition to the ones I already had in mind. As things stand, I have at least 2 unique scenes for each major character. If you include variations of scenes that can take place during a quest line that number jumps to 4. The scenes will also vary from you spanking them and them spanking you, and also being both as punishment and for fun or in a more sensual setting. 

While that's all well and good, I was having an issue with how I wanted these special scenes to work. All of the work I've done up until now on the spanking scenes has expected the event to run in a semi-random way without any reference to a specific event. This can be troublesome, because then a lot of my work done to randomize the experience goes to waste in custom scenes. I had two choices initially, have progression (baring, implements, etc.) be driven depending on the persona like in the normal spanking scenes, or have progression set at specific points (always bare at second set of spanks, always switch implement at 4th, etc.). The problem with the first is it makes the scene only unique in its dialogue and setting, which is really a cop-out if you think about it. The problem with the second option is it really takes away the whole point of having options on how to react in the first place. So the solution I came up with, is have a customized set of limits that instead of being based on the persona, are based on the custom scene. This way your actions still have impact, but you still get a unique 1-time experience. The scoldings will still run on a set track, where the npc will have a script they'll run through at each step. The issue with this is that it's mainly focused on scenes where the player is spanked. I still have to think of adjustments to make for special scenes where you can do the spanking. There are problems like, how do I handle scenes where you can only give a certain number of spanks? Or scenes where you wouldn't be allowed to bare them? I'm sure I'll think something up along the way.
