10/8/17 and Music
Added 2017-10-08 04:32:36 +0000 UTCHi everyone, quick post to make here to address something I'm considering adding to the game. Yes, I know ANOTHER. Anyway, it's related to the sound design of the game. As things are, I have background music for certain towns and buildings, but that's it. For a while I've wanted to do more dynamic music that can change depending on the scene. Like a mischievous track playing if you got caught doing something bratty. Or a soothing melody playing for an erotic scene. Of course, this would also extend to the scenes where spanking isn't involved, like dramatic music when the spirit appears in the ruins for example. Now the complexity in this is pretty much nill. It would just involve starting the music at certain scenes and then jumping back to the normal music for the area. The concern I have in this is that I am no composer, and although I've managed the game so far using popular soundtracks from other games/series, I feel like it's cheaping out on the effort put into the game. But on the other hand, if it improves the experience of the player, should that really matter? I drew up a poll that I hope will gather some thoughts from you all about the situation. Pick the one that most accurately describes your opinion on this.
