Character Bio: Kumomochi The Arachne 🕷️ [April]

She is a member of a powerful and dangerous family of monsters known as the Arachne. The Arachne is a monster with the upper body of a human, and the lower half of a spider. Categorized as a species of beast people, like all beast people the Arachne is born with the abilities of their animal counterpart.

For this reason, Kumomochi is capable of lifting ten times her body weight, creating silk webs, and is blessed with a skeleton with inhuman durability. She proudly boasts how never once in her life has she even broken a bone.

Despite being a monster, she is fully capable of human emotion and reason, and is a rather soft spoken and shy girl when speaking with others.

When she was a young baby, she was found by two elder human farmers deep within the woods while they were out camping. Wanting to do the right thing they attempted to return her to her family, only to never find a single Arachne. With no other choice the two farmers decided to adopt her as their own daughter.

Growing up she lived a normal human life on a normal human diet. However, she was never fully accepted by her village due to her monster origins and was bullied by all except by a kind hearted boy who was the son of a merchant. The two would find themselves inseparable from each other. With a friend she was finally able to show more of her true personality and teased her best friend constantly for being so fragile.

In her younger years, she lived off a normal human diet, it wasn't until she grew older that her monster instincts to hunt and kill other monsters began to surface. To her parents great surprise and fear, when she was only 16 she had successfully killed and feasted off a troll that attempted to invade their village.

That same week she grew several inches from her species natural shedding process. Their once short stack four foot daughter is now a whole three inches taller. Every time she feasted on a monster she would begin a shedding process and with each shedding she grew bigger and stronger. For this reason, her parents tried their best to discourage her from hunting monsters. But her natural instincts every couple of years would demand her to hunt.

However, instead of being thankful to her for protecting the village. The villagers would only fear her more, making her truly alone after her childhood best friend would choose to become an adventurer and leave the village. Now at the age of 19 she eagerly awaits the return of her best friend at her mother's farm.

To this day, her true family origins remains a mystery, but she personally does not care, and is happy with her human life with her family and her best friend. ♡
