Update #00 - The Nameless Update

Hello friendbolds new and old, thank you for your continued patience so far. Just wanted to give an update on whats up and what to expect going forward with - Smol Kobold Garden (currently in Steam Early Access) and the main Kobold Garden (coming soon) - and even this Patreon!

Figuring out where to go from here has taken a bit longer than expected. In this time I have been refining how the great Kobold Garden resurgence can best be played out and I think I found a good sweet spot where I only go slightly insane!

New Smol Kobold Garden Updates Soon
I'll be releasing an update for Smol Kobold Garden later this month or so on Steam, bringing a music player where you can change tracks in the garden on the fly, new shop items that will allow you to raise kobold stats, and a 2d racing mini-game that will test your kobolds stats against others among other small tweaks and additions! I'll go into more details as the update gets closer to release, hope you look forward to it!

Updated Update Schedule Starting August
While I'm working on the games all the time in the background, with how sporadic my updates can get I feel it can seem like the games are barely being worked on at all! This is mostly my fault as I feel I get burned out from making updates very easily. So as a solution going forward, I hope to make an update every two weeks starting in August, just going over what I worked on in that time. These updates will go more in-depth into the thought process and workflows on how I make things from 3d models, scripts, music, and anything I'm working on in that moment. This will give a more consistent stream of updates that better showcase what's going on with the games!

The Quest for the Perfect Kobold
In a previous update I showed off a new kobold model for the main Kobold Garden. While this model is usable, I'm not fully happy with it. I have a vision in my mind of the most peak kobold model to ever exist. This current model just ain't it. So I've been refining the designs for both the adult kobold and babybold models, and I think I have nailed it this time. The perfect kobold. You don't like it? that's the beauty of this version. This kobold will be so customizable it's theoretically impossible to not like it. You will like it. Please like it?

The Timeline Going Forward
Once the Smol Kobold Garden update is out, I'll be focusing on creating the perfect kobolds and documenting the process in detailed bi-weekly updates. Once done I'll have one more smol update adding the babybolds to SKG. Then work on the main Kobold Garden begins! I will solely be working on the main game until it's ready for its Steam Early Access, where I will then begin working on both games simultaneously.

The timeline:
SKG update -> perfect kobold models -> babybold SKG update -> main Kobold Garden -> work on both games

Everybody Wants To Be My Enemy
I've also been in communications with The Sun. It urges me to cease this instant as the world is not ready for the perfect kobold. The massive glowing mass that lights up our sky wants kobolds to remain a secret? Seems a bit like a pipe dream to me. Nothing will be able to stop the great kobold happening at this rate! Not even The Sun itself!
