10 Things about LAYERS // Affinity Photo

Comments

Hi D&D, sorry for the very late answer, it just now saw this comment. That's strange, i get that too. I can only assume that they changed that function in newer versions, so the text frame is now just a frame. So my suggestion would be to duplicate the shape before you convert it, so that you still have one that has the color in it and that now also is still fully adjustable

Hi Olivio I tried the method of converting a comment shape into a text frame (10 ”30 ') explained in this video. Then the background color of the comment shape disappeared and I could not maintain the background color of the comment shape like this video. Do you need any special settings? By the way, the version of my Affinity Photo is the latest.

Thank you, Joseph. So kind of you. Sorry for the late answer. I think Affinity Photo offers some of the best functionality out there for the price asked. I still think that Designer could be a lot better, especially compared to the free Inkscape, but if you count in the workflow between the different Affinity Programs, it becomes pretty powerful again :)

Thank you, Kevin. Yes, that white requirement really isn't that obvious and makes using it pretty confusing at first :)

Hi Olivio, Wow, there were some fantastic insights you showed us. I have been frustrated on more than one occasion with text mask layers. Now I know they should be rasterised with white text. Thank you!

I think you should have "Professor" in front of your name. 10 Things about layers is the best visual video that explains how they function. Awesome job! Why do you use Affinity Photo/Designer over other similar photo/design software?

Joseph
