Affinity Photo - 5 CMYK Things you should know

Do you want to use CMYK? Here are 5 things you need to know. And the first one might surprise you: Even a lot of artists and illustrators don't use CMYK. Why? Watch the video to find out :)

Art is about the result. So it is really important to know what you will get and how to get to the result you want. But is CMYK the best way to get there? Are there better ways where you might not even need CMYK? Let's talk about that :)

Hi Pete, could you solve your problems in the meantime?

Olivio Sarikas

No changes to browser, it’s a mac with latest os. I’m beginning to have suspicions about my router but getting that properly resolved via call centres is problematic. I’ll update you

strange. did you install any new browser extensions lately or change something else about your browser that could have caused this? what device, os version and browser are you on? please keep me updated if this keeps happening

Two things seem to be happening intermittently. One is where I switch from The Community section on this web site to Posts - if I try then to switch back to Community (i.e. just by clicking on the header at the top of this page), it's gone. Sometimes I have to log out and back in a few times to get it back. The second is where I'm writing a comment and it posts itself part way through (even without me pressing the wrong key :) ) and I keep typing away as its showing up on my screen, only to discover later (if Ive logged out and back in later) that some of my post isn't there, so I have to retype it and post it. On example is my post with the explanatory bit about Fascinating Aida - I realise looking at it now that you must think Im totally barmy as the original post did not have the explanatory element, I had to add it later - it gives the whole thing a totally different meaning, so I apologise if that's how it read to you (or anyone else for that matter) - very frustrating.

Hi Bob, thank you. Not yet, because i myself rarely print any works at home. But i want to change that and will meet with some of the artists i know to talk about that. :) I assume that the printing quality today is pretty high across the board and it is more a question of what materials can be printed on an how good the quality of the ink is. Especially in regards of withstanding sunlight

This was helpful Olivio. Do you have printers you might recommend or avoid? Thx!!

Bob Domine

That's also true. Though on Youtube people might think they watched it already. What community stuff do you mean?

Olivio Sarikas

Dunno so much - I think it ties in nicely as part of a series ? Blast, Ive lost all my community stuff again.......

Pete Gunnell
